SCMA Conference Accommodation Deals


Ballarat is a vibrant and interesting city steeped in the history of the Gold Rush and of course the Eureka Uprising and as such has many accommodation options.

Ballarat can meet your accommodation budget, needs and locations without much research at all.

The 2012 National Regional Rural and Sub Metro Broadcasters Conference will be held at the Grand Hall complex located close to the intersection of Sturt Street (Ballarat’s main street) and Doveton Street. This gives you a point to navigate to when you are looking at accommodation for the Conference.

There are two properties within half a block of the conference venue and the SCMA has put together conference accommodation packages at both of these properties.

To get these rates you must let them know that you are attending the SCMA Conference.

Here is some information in relation the property. The SCMA has secured special rates for the conference and we show the special and the normal rate to give you an idea of the discount.

Studio Apartments (king/twin share, sleeps 2) The features include a king sized bed, private bathroom facilities as well as kitchenette, LCD digitally enabled TVs with Austar. Conference Rate $161.00/night (Normally $245.00)
One Bedroom Apartments(king/twin share sleeps 3 with an optional sofa bed) Features include a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, full laundry facilities and a spacious living room with reverse cycle air-conditioning / heating. LCD digitally enabled TVs with Austar. Conference Rate = $178.00/night
(Normally $271.00). Optional Sofa Bed rate = $20.00/night (Normal rate is $35.00/night)
Two Bedroom Apartments (king/twin share – sleeps 5 with an optional sofa bed) – Features include two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, full laundry facilities and a spacious living room with reverse cycle air-conditioning / heating. LCD digitally enabled TVs with Austar. Conference Rate = $259.00/night (Normally $393.00). Optional Sofa Bed rate = $20.00/night (Normally $35.00/night)

Properties recommend that you book as soon as possible as March is a very busy time of year in Ballarat and weekend accommodation will get harder to find as time passes.

Also please be aware because of the nature of the 2012 conference the SCMA will not be booking accommodation of block reserving rooms for delegates this year.
