Things to note

1/         The Friday Boot Camp session is a pay to attend session. The cost is $50-00 per station. This will allow up to 5 delegates from your station to attend “Boot Camp”.

At this stage we do not have a definite venue for the Boot Camp but it will be at either the RSL Club or its sister club The Commercial Club. The commercial club is just a couple of blocks away.

2/         The welcome event on the Friday evening also has no set venue at this stage. There are a lot of events on at the club on the Friday and we are trying to get a more private area so that delegates can interact without as much background noise.

3/         While we are reasonably confident that the schedule we have put together will remain unchanged, things happen and you should be aware that the schedule is subject to changes in both workshops and presenters. Where ever possible the SCMA will endeavour to workshops in place with alternate presenters but in some cases this may not be possible. It is the intention of the conference organisers to maintain the flow and the original concept of workshops to the best of our ability.

4/         Registrations for the National Regional Rural and Sub Metro Broadcasters Conference are now open and on line go to to register. Please note that all due monies must be paid before the conference.

5/         Entries in the prestigious X Awards are now open and entries can only be submitted on line at follow the links to X Awards and submit your entries. N.B you must be a financial member of the SCMA or registered to attend the conference to enter the X Awards.

6/         A more detailed conference program will be available in the next Newsletter and will also be made available on line as soon as possible.

On behalf of the SCMA Board of Management we invite all stations to be a part of the 2017 conference regardless of membership to the SCMA. You will find registration information and costs elsewhere in this newsletter and as mentioned above on line.

We look forward to seeing as many stations represented as possible at this year’s conference and the opportunity to meet new people and welcome them to the friendly conference March 10th to 12th 2017 in Wagga Wagga N.S.W

Please note that workshops and speakers may change depending on the availability of speakers or unforeseen circumstances
